Hi, I’m Laci Strike — dancer, choreographer and creative director. I’ve been dancing for 35 years and teaching for more than 22. Dance has shaped my whole life, and my mission is simple: to help people feel confident, free and connected to the music.
From the beginning, I studied street dance from the original sources. I learned from some of the best dancers in the world — pioneers who stood at the very birth of hip-hop culture. My teachers include legends like Mr. Wiggles, Buddha Stretch and many others who shaped the foundations of popping, hip-hop, funk styles and freestyle. Their knowledge, energy and respect for the culture influenced everything I teach today.
In 2003, I founded my studio Street Dance Academy. Since then, more than 10,000 dancers have trained through my classes, and over 18,000 children have joined our summer dance camps across Slovakia. I’ve taught workshops in London, Prague, Innsbruck, Barcelona, Las Palmas and other cities, working with dancers of all ages and skill levels.
As a choreographer and creative director, I’ve worked on major concerts, stadium shows, TV productions, films, commercials and music videos. I’ve collaborated with top artists and brands, directed large creative projects and helped shape the visual identity of many performances. I also organize dance battles and community events that support young dancers and help them grow.
My TikTok community has grown to 1.3 million followers from the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Europe and many other places. Every day, people from around the world ask me for simple steps, guidance and lessons.
This is the reason I created this course — to give you a clear, structured and beginner-friendly way to learn hip-hop from anywhere.
